Bible Memorization Made Simple: Why It Matters, How to Do It, and 100 Verses to Start With

You can memorize Scripture, even if you think you have a bad memory.

Jesus defeated the devil in the wilderness by saying, “It is written.” The psalmist said, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Memorizing Scripture used to be a regular part of church life. Today many believers want to know God’s Word by heart but don’t know where to start, or they’ve tried and given up.

In Bible Memorization Made Simple, Pastor Chad S. Fisher teaches why memorizing Scripture matters and gives you a practical method you can start this week.

Inside you’ll find:

• 11 biblical benefits of memorizing Scripture. It builds your faith, renews your mind, guards you against deception, helps you resist temptation, equips you to minister to others, and gives the Holy Spirit something to bring to your remembrance.
• The 7 by 7 Method. It takes a few minutes a day, and the book walks you through it day by day.
• A simple review schedule so the verses you learn stay with you.
• Practical techniques like breaking long verses into phrases, saying the reference, tying memorization to daily habits, and memorizing with your family.
• 100 Bible verses to memorize (KJV), organized into 20 topics, plus five short verses to start with.

This book is short, direct and Scripture-first, written by a pastor for everyday believers. Whether you’re a new Christian, a parent who wants to help your kids learn the Word, or a longtime believer who wants to finally make this a habit, this book will help you hide God’s Word in your heart.
