Hard cover in very good condition with maroon boards showing only the lightst of shelf and edge wear. Golf gilt spine lettering. Front board has title surrounded by decorative border, both in gold gilt.Front free end paper is a "Presentation Page" that is filled in for former owner in ink; dated Dec. 25, 1967. Interior text block clean & tight; no writings, no markings noted. Black & white illustrations on almost every page with full page frontispiece color illustration and a section of 4 leaves/eight pages of full size color illustrations. Concludes with an Index.320 numbered pages. From the Preface, "This is a Bible Picture Book - with a difference. There are over a thousand illustrations with a simple text based on the Authorized Version, so designed that the manner that the movement of the story is clearly seen. The whole is so presented that children as well as adults may see and understand.".
