Jarvis Jimmy Ross is a seventy-five-year-old individual who exemplifies both physical fitness and mental sharpness. He has a rich background as a former high school and college basketball player, contributing to his active lifestyle and discipline.Cultural Experience: Having lived in both the North and South and traveled abroad, Ross has gained valuable cultural experience through cross-cultural interactions with various ethnicities. His ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds has shaped his perspective and enriched his personal and professional life.Family Life: Jarvis Jimmy Ross has been married to Doris W. Ross for 48 years. Doris retired as a Clinical Nurse from the Mecklenburg County Health Department in January 2024. Together, they have three adult children: Jeremy Ross, aged 45; Kassia Ross, aged 41; and Danielle Ross, aged 40.Ministry and Education: Ross's journey in ministry spans nearly five decades, involving service to both black and white churches as well as outreach ministry in urban and suburban communities. After a transformative experience in 1974, he attended community college, majoring in Human Services. He later continued his education at a Division II college, majoring in Sociology and minoring in Psychology. In 1984, he graduated from seminary with a Master of Divinity degree.Professional Roles: His professional journey began as an Evangelist, evolving into roles as Pastor, Multiethnic Church Planter, Mission Developer, Professor of Urban Theology, Author, Editor, and Self-Publisher.
