A Bibliography of Unfinished Books in the English Language, with Annotations

New York: Burt Franklin, 1969. Brand New in perfect condition (just removed from the publisher's shrink wrap so we could write this description). Bright, clean, square and tight. Sharp corners. NOT a library discard. NO owner's name or bookplate. NO remainder mark. Pages are fresh and crisp. Not all "odd volumes" are worth only peanuts. What appear to be odd volumes are sometimes all that exist of a work, because additional volumes projected were discontinued due to death, political suppression, discouragement, economics or other reasons. This bibliography identifies and describes uncompleted works by Macaulay, Lord Acton, Bacon, Keats, Spenser, Goldsmith, Thackeray, Dickens, R. L. Stevenson, etc. It is cross referenced to Allibone, the British Museum Catalog, DNB, Lowndes, Upcott, Watt, etc. Bound in the original blue cloth, stamped in shiny gold. Besterman 840. 1969 reprint of the 1915 original. Hardcover. New/No jacket, as issued. 8vo. xvi, 255pp.
