Ltd Edition No 259 of 500 with 475 only for sale. 244 pages printed on HMP (hand made paper with deckle or uncut edges and wide margins, half title, some foxing to prelims and rear endpapers, but mild and the body of the bibliography is free, front endpaper browned, small quarto bound in brown buckram. VG+. Quarto. *The poet/art historian/essayist was first person to use the word "homosexual" in relation to "Greek Love", a fine sensative writer plagued by his homosexual inclinations throughout his life, although married with daughters, his first Janet was the child Edward Lear wrote the Owl and the Pussycat for in 1868. As his private papers were destroyed Edmund Gosse in 1926. An early advocate for the acceptance of homosexuality. Seller Inventory # 7173

We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
