Bifurcation: A Family Story in Two Parallel Realities

What if the life you did not choose continued somewhere else?
In the turbulent early 1990s, a young Moscow scientist stands before a decision that will shape his family's future: emigrate to the United States or remain in Russia. In BIFURCATION, both choices unfold. Across more than three decades, one family lives two complete and vividly realized lives on opposite sides of history.
As the two realities diverge, so do careers, friendships, loyalties, marriages, and dreams. Yet both lives are swept into the same powerful currents—economic collapse, scientific change, war, migration, and the upheavals of a changing world. The result is an ambitious literary novel about the intimate consequences of history and the haunting presence of roads not taken.
BIFURCATION will appeal to readers of multi-generational family sagas, immigrant stories, speculative literary fiction, and novels that explore how private lives are transformed by the forces of history.
