Melanie Porter has long used giant needles for her knitting creations, and here she shares 35 stylish designs with you. There are lots of projects to knit using needles from sizes US 15 to US 50, as well as some that use extra large needles (35mm), and the great thing about using big needles is that you can work up items quickly to great effect. Melanie Porter is a graduate of Central Saint Martin’s College in London. She spent 10 years working as a knitwear designer for a number of international fashion brands before turning her expertise to furniture with hand-knitted panels in 2008. Melanie’s ability to create exquisite, textured fabrics has drawn attention from clients and press all over the world. Her work is now sold at prestigious department store Lane Crawford in Hong Kong and lifestyle boutique Wolf & Badger in London.
