The summer of 1919 is over, and on the high prairie, a small army of men, women, and machines moves across the land, bringing in the wheat harvest. Custom threshers, steam engineers, bindlestiffs, cooks, camp followers, and hobos join the tide. Prosperous farmers proudly proclaim “Rain follows the plow,” meaning that the bounty of the land will never be exhausted. Everywhere, people gleefully embrace the gospels of progress and greed. The threshing season is on.
But there is also an evil upon the land. A killer who calls himself the Windmill Man believes he has a holy calling to water the newly plucked earth with blood. For him, the moving harvest is a target-rich environment, an endless supply of ready victims. He has been killing for years now and intends to kill for many more. Who could stop him? Nobody even knew he existed. Until now.
A young man named Charlie Krueger also follows the harvest. Jilted by his childhood sweetheart and estranged from his drunkard father, he hopes to find a new life as a steam engineer. But in a newly harvested field in the nearly black Dakota night, he has come upon a strange man digging a grave. And in that moment, he has become the only person who can stop the evil, if he lives long enough. For the killer knows his name and his wanderings, and he, too, is now a target. When next they meet, one of them will have to die.

Delivery Expectations
We ship most orders within 1-3 business days. All orders ship via United States Postal Service.
Standard
Media Mail shipments within the U.S. typically arrive within 3 to 8 business days, however; shipments may take up to 3 to 5 weeks to arrive.
Deliveries to APO / FPO / DPO addresses as well as packages to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands can take 3 to 8 weeks to arrive.
Expedited
Priority Mail shipments within the U.S. typically arrive within 2 to 3 business days, occasionally they take as long as 6 business days.
International
First-Class / Priority Mail shipments typically arrive in 2 to 4 weeks (they occasionally take up to 8-12 weeks due to delays in customs).
Note: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchasing. Shipping Terms
Orders typically ship via U.S. Media Mail within two (2) business days. We base our shipping rates on the average costs of shipping plus materials. We do not try to profit from shipping, preferring to keep the customers costs down. Heavier items we may contact the buyer regarding additional shipping, particularly overseas.
We wrap our items in water-resistant paper or bubble wrap prior to packing. Larger items will be boxed, delicate items will be wrapped in added padding particularly to protect covers, spines and corners. Smaller to medium items are packaged in paper-padded envelopes then all seams sealed with packing tape.
Insurance is generally not included for items under $100. If you want added insurance, please contact us to make arrangements.
