Pyramid edition reprint 1941 in original wrapper. Fawn edition. The front cover is warped and there is a rub to the top edge border. The top right hand corner is rubbed. The lettering and picr]torial illustrations are bright and bold. The spine is straight and the lettering bold and clear. There are rubs to the bottom end. The back board is straight with no bumps. There are rubs to the top edge and to the bottom spine hinge. The hinge is slightly pulled. The bottom text block has a gash 2cm. The front and rear inside boards and end papers are clean and bright with no inscription. The internal pages are all bright and clean and the frontis is bold and clear. Dust wrapper/ The front cover has brown marks bottom/middle right and rubs under the" IN" in the title. There are rubs to the front flap hinge. There are chips to all corners and the bottom right hand corner has a tear 2cm attached. The top left hand chip has a closed tear 2cm attached. The bottom edge has two small chips and one has a 1/2 cm closed tear attached. The spine has the bottom missing 1cm depth, not affecting the publisher name. The top of the spine has loss across half of the edge, with rubs. The back cover has three closed tears one 4cm, another 1cm, and another 6cm with a chip attached all along the top edge. There is a large closed tear running from a large piece missing on the bottom edge along the spine and onto the front cover 18cm. This has been repaired on the reverse with celotape. The celotape repairs are also to the top of the spine and front cover top edge. The bottom edge has two tiny closed tears and the left hand top and bottom corners have chips. The rear flap is good with a tiny closed tear to the top edge. The front flap has a closed 1cm tear attached to the top right hand front cover chip. Price cut.
