1941 1st edition 3rd issue with colour and B&W illustrations; thin issue with two asterisks on half-title. Tightly bound in orange cloth with black lettering and design to front and spine; top/bottom edges and spine slightly faded; top/bottom of spine very faded and worn; top of spine has small patch (1 cm long) of loss to cloth. Dust jacket not price-clipped; wear and tear to edges and corners; front edge torn most of the way along; small losses to corners; larger losses to top and base of spine; some discolouration; protected by removable plastic film. Page edges faintly foxed. Internally, scattered foxing, particularly on outer pages; owner's name on front free endpaper. Otherwise, a good, tidy copy. Used - Good. Good hardback in Fair dust jacket.
