Preserve the rights of all Americans with this elegant hardback gift edition of the Bill of Rights, proudly made in the USA.
Collectively known as the United States Bill of Rights, these first ten amendments to the United States Constitution limit the powers of the federal government and protect the rights of all citizens, residents and visitors on United States territory. Introduced in 1789 in the First United States Congress by James Madison, these amendments came into effect on December 15, 1791, when ratified by three-fourths of the states. This document plays a central role in American law and remains to this day a symbol of the freedoms and culture of the nation. In this beautiful gift edition, the text of the Bill of Rights is presented alongside a history of the amendments.

About the Author
James Madison (1751–1836) was a Founding Father and the fourth President of the United States. Born in Virginia, he played a central role in drafting the U.S. Constitution, earning him the title "Father of the Constitution." Alongside Alexander Hamilton and John Jay, he co-authored The Federalist Papers, defending the new government structure. Madison later authored the Bill of Rights, ensuring fundamental freedoms for American citizens. He served as Secretary of State under Thomas Jefferson before becoming president in 1809, leading the nation through the War of 1812. A brilliant political theorist, Madison's influence remains foundational to American constitutional democracy.
George Mason (1725–1792) was a Founding Father and influential political philosopher from Virginia. Best known for authoring the Virginia Declaration of Rights in 1776, his work became a model for the Bill of Rights and other state constitutions. Mason was a delegate to the Constitutional Convention in 1787, yet he ultimately refused to sign the Constitution, believing it lacked sufficient protections for individual liberties and failed to address slavery. A staunch advocate for limited government, he remained a vocal critic of federal overreach throughout his life. Mason's ideas on natural rights profoundly shaped American constitutional thought.
