A collection of novels, essays, poems and short stories by William Makepeace Thackeray. Biographical edition, with details about the author's life written by his daughter, Anne Ritchie. Containing Vanity Fair, Pendennis, Yellowplush Papers Etc., Barry Lyndon Etc., Sketch Books Etc., Contributions to Punch Etc., The Newcombes, Christmas Books, Lovel the Widower Etc., and Ballads and Miscellanies. Illustrated throughout with two hundred and seventy-five plates (collated complete) and numerous vignette illustrations. Ex-libris bookplate of J. D. Wyatt to front pastedowns. WIth publisher's adverts to the rear of each volume. Ten volumes of thirteen only (missing volumes VII, X, and XI). In red cloth bindings. Externally sound, though with some discoloration to the spines and some marks. Wear to the heads of three spines. Hinges slightly strained. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with just some foxing to the first and last few pages as usual. Very Good.…
