Biography of the Signers to the Declaration of Independence; Volume Five or 5

This book is volume five of a set. It has been bound in a medium brown leather with faded gilt and title labels on the spine. There is corner bumping and edge wear, with board showing. Title labels have rubbed and have chipped. Hinges soft and rubbed. Covers are rubbed with some light spotting and scratching. Head of spine worn, foot is completely missing. Interior text has darkened with age, some foxing. Endpapers have pencil markings and erased areas. Hinges are solid, but will need to be handled with care. Apparently at some point in time a child got a hold of this and used it to practice writing on some fo the pages. These marks have been erased, but left white impressions in the papers. Also a hole in the face of the portrait of Robert Morris. 50% of his face is missing or damaged. Probably a hazard he never dreamed of facing. Still, an interesting copy of a detailed look at the some of the founding patriots of our country. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
