A Bird, a Girl, and a Rescue

A Bird, a Girl, and a Rescue sweeps readers into a thrilling African adventure where courage, faith, and friendship take flight as a young girl faces danger and discovers her true strength.

When eleven-year-old Kiisa’s parents send her away to boarding school, she can’t understand why they would separate their family. But her confusion turns to wonder when she opens her trunk and discovers a talking wagtail named Njili, a messenger sent to help her with something called “the Rescue.” Soon, Kiisa finds herself in the middle of a daring mission involving rebels, stolen girls, and hidden dangers deep in the African wilderness.

As Kiisa steps into perilous situations and meets unexpected allies, she learns that true bravery means acting even when afraid—and that rescue can come in surprising ways.
