The remarks are drawn from long, and, in some instances, dear-bought experience; but will be the means, no doubt, of saving the life of many a handsome and melodious songster, as well as of preventing regret at their loss. The author, therefore, presumes to h0pe that the attempt is at least praiseworthy.
