Containing the Bird Observatory and Field Study Centre Report at Gibraltar Point, Lincolnshire for the years 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, and 1954. A comprehensive study on bird life in Lincolnshire, with references to the types and species, migration patterns, weather conditions, breeding, and much more. Volume one is illustrated with a frontispiece and a map. Volume two is illustrated with a frontispiece, a map, one plate, and one folding plate. Volume three is illustrated with a frontispiece, a map, and two folding plates. Volume four is illustrated with a map. Volume five is illustrated with a map. Volume six is illustrated with many tables and graphs. Due to the way in which these volumes have been bound together, the fore edge of all folding plates have been bound in and therefore these plates cannot be unfolded. Compiled by A. E. Smith, a British ornithologist and Honorable Secretary of the Lincolnshire Naturalists' Trust. With assistance from various members. Bound in contemporary green cloth. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities and the odd mark to the board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd handling mark or spot.
