About the Author

At age 55, Daisy Meerholz Vest has never stopped her childlike daydreaming. She remembers back at 8 years old, how she'd spread a blanket on the dewy morning grass beneath her backyard tree. There she'd lie watching the clouds on the blue sky passing through the branches. The perfect example of her continued, simplistic awe of nature and life around her. Conveying this type of message to children through her first book publishing is beyond thrilling for her. With more Grandchildren coming in the future, she hopes to continue her children's book adventures. Daisy discovered her passion for writing at age 20 leading her to start the writing circle, Write To Breathe. Along with her writing outlet she expresses herself through photography, painting, creating one of a kind embellished art creations from jewelry to home decor to guitars, as well as being a singer songwriter on acoustic guitar. Daisy says some of her most meaningful experiences were those that took place during her years of hospice volunteering as a music therapist. She's been married to her teenage sweetheart Bob for 38 years. They live in Tulsa, OK as well as their two married children and two grandsons. She's been a longtime cosmetologist since high school, working in her own salon as well as out of the salon doing makeup and hair for television. Her salon workplace, Passion By Design also in Tulsa, includes a family run Art Gallery and Photography Studio. Daisy feels fortunate to be in the art world where she is thrilled by the inspirational people she meets and the wonderful new challenges they bring her way.
