Bird Watching Journal: Nature Study & Backyard Science Get to know all the Birds in Your Neighborhood - The Thinking Tree

Homeschooling and nature study don’t have to feel complicated. Sometimes the very best learning happens when your child simply steps outside, looks up, and begins to notice the world around them.

The Bird Watching Journal from Thinking Tree Books is a joyful, creative way to help kids connect with nature while building real science and observation skills. Rooted in the Fun-Schooling philosophy, this bird watching journal turns backyard moments into meaningful learning through play, curiosity, and creativity.

Whether your child is spotting robins on the fence, hearing a woodpecker in the trees, or discovering a new feather on a walk, this flexible and child-led bird watching book gives them a special place to record their finds, draw what they see, and grow their confidence as young naturalists.

It’s fun for kids, easy for moms, and especially supportive for children with Dyslexia, ADHD, or ASD.
