Birds of Prey Coloring Book (Coloring Books)

They are among the most impressive members of the bird family — possessed of keen eyesight, powerful beaks, strong, grasping talons, and an appetite for meat. They are the raptors, or birds of prey, among them hawks, eagles, owls, and other species.
In this treasury of ready-to-color illustrations, noted wildlife artist John Green has rendered 42 birds of prey from around the world (concentrating on species common in North America) — both well-known and lesser known. Detailed, accurate illustrations depict the Bald Eagle, Common Black-hawk, Great Horned Owl, Andean Condor, Osprey, Crested Caracara, Turkey Vulture, Peregrine Falcon (on a dramatic double-page spread), and many more.
Carefully researched captions provide invaluable information on each bird, and all 42 are pictured in color on the book's covers. Bird and nature lovers of all ages will want this fun-to-color informative guide to birds of prey; artists and designers will find it an inexpensive source of marvelous copyright-free bird illustrations.

For more than 20 years, John Green has created popular Dover coloring books. He specializes in realistic drawings of people, animals, and places, and his recent titles range from Life in Old Japan to Dogs to Paint or Color.
