Softcover, 2 volume set. Bound in light blue paper with black lettering to the front cover. The Bulletin of the American Museum of Natural History, Volume 178: Article 4 Part 1, Rheidae Through Furnariidae and Volume 180: Article 1 Part 2, Formicariidae Through Corvidae. Part 1 dated 1984, pages 371-631. Part 2 dated 1985, pages 3-241. Good condition. Binding is strong and tight. Spine is toned. Corners square and free of rubbing. Pages very lightly foxed along the edges of both copies. Interior is clean and free of marks. Numerous black and white maps throughout. Overall good condition. This book is from the collection of Thomas Lovejoy. Dr. Lovejoy was an influential ecologist, field biologist, and activist; former head of the Amazon Biodiversity Center, World Wildlife Fund, and advisor to the United Nations and Smithsonian Institution. He is credited with introducing the term biological diversity to the mainstream environmental movement. In addition, he was a passionate collector of books on the natural world. Regular shipping by USPS Media Mail is $4. MEDIA MAIL SHIPPING DOES NOT INCLUDE TRACKING.
