About the Author

A self-proclaimed "Desert Rat," Michael Herndon has lived in Arizona most of his life. He currently resides in Oracle, a small town in the northern foothills of the Catalina mountains, where he still maintains a small army of exotic pets, and spends time working on his stories. Little did he know that when he worked that first shift at the Campbell shaft in October of 1960 that he was starting a thrilling 30-year career as a miner.
