Bitter Cold

Life has been good lately for Coast Guard officer turned Kodiak, Alaska lawyer Hayden White. He's just back from vacation, his firm is doing well and, with the exception of his family and friends nagging him about a lack of a love life, he has no complaints. But all that changes when people he knows start dying and his wayward brother is accused of their murders. Now, if he's going to clear his brother's name, Hayden must journey to the vast and rugged Alaska Bush to discover how his father really died twenty years before in a land of snow and ice, where the air is Bitter Cold.

Originally from the Boston area, Douglas A. Letch lives and works in Kodiak and Juneau, Alaska. His work has appeared in numerous publications and on many radio stations. He is the author of two Hayden White novels, Bitter Cold and The Stir of Ashes.
