Black Power II (Paperback)

Paperback. The Spell was never broken. It was only weakening.Centuries ago, a hidden power shifted the mortal danger of plague away from Europe and toward Africa. What followed was not accident, not history alone, but the consequence of a force cast imperfectly-one that helped open the path to conquest, enslavement, and generations of devastation. Now, those responsible are moving to correct their mistake.Behind SOTIR's public image of influence, science, and humanitarian progress, a faction tied to the Spell's origin is racing to claim the alien Elements needed to recast it properly. If they succeed, the grip that has shaped centuries of domination may become permanent. But ancient powers have not been sleeping. They have been watching. And for a time such as this, they have summoned their champions.Scipio Okoro and Neswt are Iklwa and Ikhawu-the Sword and Shield of the Resistance. Bound by destiny, power, and a connection neither fully understands, they must claim the Elements before SOTIR can use them to perfect the Spell and tighten its hold on Africa, its diaspora, and every hidden Amanirenan community it seeks to erase. For SOTIR, the Elements are the means to restore a broken Spell. For Scipio and Neswt, they are the pieces needed to forge the Weapon destined to become an extension of Scipio's power.First the fire, then the water, and lastly the blood. The refrain becomes Scipio and Neswt's cryptic guide as the secret war deepens and long-buried truths rise to the surface. But before Scipio can wield the Weapon, he must become worthy of what it demands. Award-winning author Dean Baxter returns with Black Power II: The Book of Peret. Guided by prophetic dreams, Scipio Okoro and Neswt race to recover five alien Elements before an ancient conspiracy reshapes humanity's future. This item is printed on demand.
