About the Author
Juliette Mayers is an author, award-winning executive, business strategist, and a passionate community advocate. In 2010, Massachusetts Governor, Deval Patrick appointed her to the Massachusetts Workforce Investment Board, a state-wide policy making board that advises the governor on workforce investment. She is emeritus Board President of Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD), a $150 million anti-poverty organization and the largest community action agency in the country. A networking guru, speaker, writer and mentor, her new book "A Black Woman's Guide to Networking," provides inspiration and practical advice to help women who seek to effectively navigate the often isolated business terrain and achieve their dreams. A native of Barbados, West Indies, Mayers' earned her MBA from Simmons Graduate School of Management. She resides in the Boston area with her husband, Darryl and their two daughters.
