The first 196pp give a general description of the area, it's roads, it's towns, buildings and places of interest together with historical notes. Pages273 onwards are devoted to a table that gives details of river and rail itineraries and their mileages from start to finish along with notes on the stations and routes detailing points of interest on the left and on the right for passengers making these journeys. This is followed by a 3 page index. There are two folding maps, of Exeter and Plymouth. Both maps and the book itself are in good condition. Hinges are loose No Dustjacket.
