The Bleeding Margin Issue 1

The Bleeding Margin, Issue No. 1 marks the debut of a new journal of literary horror committed to the unsettling, the grotesque, and the psychologically exacting.

Across more than 80 pages spanning fiction, poetry, interviews, and visual art, this inaugural issue features work by Barrie Darke, Christian De Matteo, M. Lopes da Silva, Emma Johnson-Rivard, Trevor Foulstone, Edward Ahern, Tony Del Degan, Ranjith Sivaraman, and others. The pieces move through violent corporate ritual, inherited and institutional cruelty, bodily creation and destruction, cosmic and bureaucratic horror, and the quiet, intimate rot of love, shame, and belief.

The issue also includes in-depth author Q&As and feature interviews with Lacey N. Dunham and Romina Garber, alongside artwork by Arturo E. Mosquera, Ana Albertina Delgado, Jorge Pantoja, Glexis Novoa, and Juan José Molina. Together, the writing and art reflect the journal's core conviction: that horror is not merely spectacle, but a lens for examining power, intimacy, history, and the body. And that FEAR IS ART.
