A Blessing in Disguise

Some wounds don't vanish. They reshape you.

Lila is still learning how to breathe again. Healing from trauma-and the violent end of her relationship with Devin-isn't linear. Just as she begins to find her footing, something from her past resurfaces without warning, stirring memories she thought she'd buried. Safety, once fragile, now feels distant again. And this time, the question isn't survival-it's whether she can trust herself enough to let someone in.

Melina thought she'd found something real with Hayden. Gentle. Steady. Safe. But when a familiar shadow from her past reemerges, the aftershocks of narcissistic abuse begin to ripple through her present. Triggers flare. Doubts creep in. And suddenly, the man who's never given her a reason to fear begins to feel like a threat. Is it her trauma talking-or is she losing her grip on what's true?

I'm Angel Rae-an author and storyteller who creates healing fiction for hearts that have carried too much alone. My stories explore trauma, resilience, and the quiet beauty of becoming-blending emotional truth with psychological insight to help readers feel seen, understood, and empowered. Between the facts and the feelings, there's a place where fiction listens. That's where I write.
