This Edition specially printed and bound for Members of The Book-of-the-Month Club. "A rough account - Lieutenant Wm. Bligh's voyage in the "Bounty's" Launch from the ship to Tofua & from thence to Timor, 28 April to 14 June 1789" Vol. 1 - "Bligh's Logbook" - contains a facsimile of the notebook Bligh used for navigational, weather, location information, on his voyage across the South Pacific. (unpaginated) Vol. 2 - "The Bligh Notebook" - A complete page-by-page transcription of Bligh's sailing entries and daily navigation work entries in the Logbook with explanatory notes. Also contains a list of the mutineers, information on the discovery of the Logbook, summary of the Mutiny and other related material. Illustrated with color plates, fold-out plans of the launch, engravings. Leather bound on Vol. 1 and Leather Spine on volume 2.
