About the Author

William C. Rader earned his medical degree with honors from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1967, and was first in his psychiatric residency class at the University of Southern California Medical Center in 1971.

William C. Rader served as chief psychiatrist for the U.S. Navy's alcoholic treatment program from 1971 to 1973.

He is recognized as a pioneer in the fields of alcoholism, drug addiction, eating disorders (bulimia, anorexia, and compulsive overeating), codependency, sexual addiction and most recently stem cell clinical research.

William C. Rader was one of the first medical experts on television shedding light on important medical, psychological, and social issues, some of which had never before been explored in the media.

William C. Rader is the only American physician involved in the actual clinical application of human fetal stem cells. He has treated more than 1,500 patients.

In 1995 he founded Stem Cell of America., an international corporation dedicated to the research and development of the clinical application of fetal stem cells. He currently serves as chairman of the board and chief scientist.
