Blood In the Deep By and By

"It's a sad feeling, the revulsion you can have for a person solely because you know they are better than you. Or, that it can run so deep that you'd like to see them fail just to stand over them and point, yelling out to a crowd, 'See this man? See how pathetic, how weak how normal he really is?' Worse still, or sadder, that from doing so, you fill some inexplicable hole within and the resultant feeling is pleasure. Sick pleasure at their fall from perfection. Sick and beautiful."
