Blood Dust Hyenas (Paperback or Softback)

Former Royal Marines Commando Tommy Thompson awakens from a coma in a mysterious facility, his mind shattered and memories clouded. They tell him stories of what happened, but their words feel wrong—twisted reflections of a darker truth. The only certainty in his fractured memory is Zahra, his wife, who disappeared in Ethiopia and who only he can save.

Haunted by fleeting glimpses of a perilous journey, Tommy remembers setting out with Zahra's cousin Mita and his old friend Samuel, navigating the dangerous, politically charged landscape of Ethiopia. Their desperate quest led them to places where legends stir in the shadows—where whispers of the Bouda, a group entwined with dark, supernatural forces, echo through the mountains and darkened forests.

Caught between the forces of government, rebels, and horrors pulled from the depths of folklore, Tommy must confront unimaginable terrors. With each step into the wild terrain, the line between myth and reality blurs, unravelling his sanity and leading him deeper into the heart of darkness. His only weapons are his Royal Marine training, fragmented memories, and a fierce love that refuses to fade.

But the darkness is closing in, and if the Bouda are real. Love, loyalty, and resilience may not be enough against the forces that devour everything in their path. Can Tommy find the strength to rescue Zahra before it's too late, or will they both be consumed by the legends that haunt the highlands?
