Bloodlines: Till The Death

Till the Death introduces the intertwined lives of José and Fatfat, two friends from opposite worlds united by loyalty in Kansas City’s underground economy. José, a Mexican immigrant who arrived in America at twelve, has risen from farmhand to major drug distributor through his uncle’s cartel connections. Fatfat, a Black hustler shaped by losing his parents at fourteen and surviving multiple incarcerations, has built an empire through marijuana distribution, dog breeding, and entrepreneurial ventures including magazines and entertainment businesses.
The story opens at an illegal dog fight where José’s pit bull Midnight Blue defeats Lil Chucky’s champion Bruno, establishing the high-stakes world both men navigate. José supplies Fatfat with consistent product—pounds of marijuana and kilos of cocaine—while Fatfat distributes across the Midwest, refusing to handle harder drugs despite José’s encouragement. Their brotherhood transcends racial divisions that plague Kansas City’s streets, though Fatfat constantly warns José about doing business with unreliable Black dealers on the Eastside.
