It's Not Bloody Rocket Science: Room to scribble. Time to think. Personal Development made simple.

How many times have you been on a training course or read a self-help book and thought "Wow that's great, I'm going to..." and then not done very much at all?

How many times a week do you find yourself saying "I don't have time..." or "I wish I could...?"

Don't worry! All that is perfectly normal behaviour.

Dulcie Shepherd Swanston is an expert in making learning stick and works all over the world as a Master Executive Coach, Training Facilitator and Keynote Speaker to help people who want to be the exception to the rule.

She spent over twenty years in leadership roles herself in pubs, restaurants and corporate offices, gaining an MBA, a qualification as a nightclub bouncer and five children along the way. Her much repeated mantra It's Not Bloody Rocket Science became the natural title for her first book.

Her first version of a Journal companion to that book was much beloved, but clients and fans complained that there weren't enough pages and she had missed some good bits they liked. Always one to embrace feedback, she's written another.

This book blends psychology and neuroscience with practical tools, tested in real life situations, to bring you a journal with a difference. Guided thinking and simple activities, that take minutes not hours, all proven to help you think better, feel more positive, improve your mood and achieve more.

Dulcie Shepherd Swanston is the owner of Profitably Engaged, an Executive Coaching Company, the founder of Tea Break Training and spend over 20 years in leadership roles across Operations and Humour Resources for a FTSE 250 company. Her work has been cited in the Sunday Telegraph and on BBC Radio 5 Live and she believes herself to be the only Fellow of the CIPD who is also a qualified nightclub bouncer. She lives in Warwickshire with her husband, two dogs and between one and five of their children.
