The Blue Line Incision and Refractive Phacoemulsification

The Blue Line Incision and Refractive Phacoemulsification is based on the newest developments in cataract surgery, highlighting the blue line incision technique, which combines the safety of the scleral tunnel incision with the efficiency of a clear corneal incision. It is a natural transition for both clear corneal and scleral tunnel incision surgeons. The book also includes Kurt Buzard's unique "swipe and swallow" technique, which allows quick and easy removal of the lens with a significantly lower possibility of error.

The book focuses on the increasing trend and ability of surgeons to obtain refractive results with lens-related surgeries. It also includes a special technique of performing astigmatism corrections at the slit-lamp and a procedure for intraocular lens exchange through the same incision without sutures. This resource is essential for all surgeons performing cataract surgery.

“Practicing surgeons will find many pearls as well as information to deepen their understanding of the many factors involved in refractive lens surgery with safe and predictable optical control.”
