Blue Rain: Lightning Strikes Once

When pregnant best friends Lisa and Rosalie go into labor on the same night, a freak lightning storm strikes the small desert hospital and kills Rosalie and her husband. Their new born son survived this bizarre event, and without hesitation, the other couple, the Carrolls, adopt the black child. As a result of this unnatural energy burst, the babies are born with the ability to communicate using only their thoughts.

Growing up like twins, Tobias and Robert's connection grows beyond telepathy. The boys—one black, one white—use their mental gifts to navigate through school, sports, girls, and the good versus evil of life. Still, Lisa and her sons need supernatural intervention to overcome the terrifying, unexplainable events that plague the family and the racism, ignorance, violence, and rage of Jessie, an evil man from the family's past, who is hell-bent on killing the black child along with anyone else who gets in his way. The boys' connection helps them manage major surprises and steers them through many twists and turns.

Blue Rain is told in a five-volume collection. This uplifting story will stay with you long after you have finished reading it and will leave you both crying and cheering.
