About the Author

Jack Klaff is a writer-performer whose workroom is living proof of the difficulty of finding Order in the universe. His Unpredictability, unnervingly evident at all times, makes it horribly difficult to know what he is going to tackle next. Or even whether he will finish it; a matter which also raises problems of Uncertainty and Continuity.

He has created a number of solo shows and several works for radio and television on subjects as diverse as world affairs, psychoanalysis, physics, Kafka, myths, legends, and male/female relationships. Amazingly physicists and science journalists have expressed delight with his theatrical interpretations of quantum mechanics, saying they find the work oddly moving. He suspects they mean he was moving oddly.

A champion of non-locality, he is never where he is supposed to be. He began The Quantum Universe while playing the part of Gulliver, continued it in a field on location for a BBC costume drama; and completed it when engaged in something completely unconnected: teaching classes at Princeton University in Interconnectedness.

Since then he has miraculously penetrated the academic world still further by being appointed Professor for the Public Understanding of Science at Starlab in Brussels � Europe's headquarters. There is no dictionary in existence which could accommodate that level of 'faking it'.

He firmly believes that everyone has a book inside them. That this one was in there was just his tough luck.
