About the Author

Martha Loeffler, the daughter of Jewish immigrants, received her BA in History and her "Certificate in Social Work" from the University of California at Berkeley. A member of the National League of American Pen Women, her many contributions to the "Our Turn" column of the Modesto Bee have won numerous first place awards.
