About the Author
In addition, on February 4, 2002 Miller was inducted into the Southern California Sports Broadcasters Hall of Fame. In February of 2001, that organization named him the top television play-by-play announcer in Southern California sports, the second time he has won the award. Along with his duties for the Kings, Millers voice has accented numerous TV and film projects including Cheers, Rollerball, Miracle On Ice, The Mighty Ducks, and The Mighty Ducks 2.
In 1997, Miller, a native of Chicago, Illinois, was selected as one of the six inaugural members of the Kings Hall of Fame during the organizations 30th-Anniversary celebration. Currently a resident of West Hills, California, Bob and his wife, Judy, have a married daughter, Kristin, and a son, Kevin.
Coauthor Randy Schultz has been a freelance sports writer for almost 30 years, covering the National Hockey League for such publications as The Hockey News, The Sporting News, Hockey Digest, Western New York Hockey Magazine, Sabres Magazine, and USA Hockey Magazine. He is currently a correspondent covering the Buffalo Sabres for NHL.com
The Wilson, New York, native has written two other books for Sports Publishing, including: Dominik Hasek: The Dominator and Legends of the Buffalo Bills. He has also written several childrens books on sports and U.S. history. He resides in Wilson with wife, Janet. They have a daughter, Karla, and a son-in-law, Scott Adams, who reside in Memphis, Tennessee.
