Higgins left home at a very early age, was educated at the School of Hard Knocks on the streets of Oakland, California, He dropped out of school and did not graduate from high school. He became addicted to fast cars and somehow barely escaped many car episodes with his life.
Unfortunately, Bob's luck ran out on a construction site. He was involved in an accident that cost him the four fingers on his right hand. Higgins was right-handed. The accident changed his life, and looking back, it may have been one of the best things that happened to him. No longer able to hold a construction job, he obtained a GED high school diploma and enrolled in the local community college.
Higgins soon learned that he was dyslexic, resulting in a serious learning problem. After years of enormous effort, he could barely obtain passing grades. Somehow he overcame his learning disability and went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Mathematics. Perhaps, you, or someone you know, is struggling to get good grades in college. Read this book and find out how he did it despite his Dyslexia.
That's not the end of the story for Bob. He went on to a very exciting career as a sub-contractor for the CIA, and after retirement, he became a college professor. Did I mention that despite having no fingers on his right hand, he was one of the top competitive slalom water skiers in the United States?
All of his stories, and there are many, are true. I believe you will find them both entertaining and informative. It's an easy read and is a great gift.
