Her Bodyguard

A soldier with a secret. A daughter with a quest. An impossible love.

Kansas, 1870 -- Buck O’Connor rides a horse named regret. Aimless and alone after a brutal loss to the North, he risks heading cross-country to reconcile with an estranged kinsman by helping in a bloody battle to wreck a new railroad. But after he saves a beautiful widow from an overturned carriage, he’s shocked to discover she’s the wealthy villain he swore to sabotage.

Amy Langford is desperate to fulfill her father’s legacy. And after a series of targeted attacks, she gratefully accepts the protection of a strapping cowboy against the violent settlers. But she’s up to her neck in the frantic race to finish construction, and she can ill-afford to succumb to her feelings for her new bodyguard.

With Buck falling hard for the determined promoter he’s supposed to ruin, he’s terrified his hidden past will cost him her heart, and worse, her trust in his protection. And as Amy puts everything on the line to honor her father, her guilt demands she cut the handsome stranger loose before he’s the next victim of an enemy who will stop at nothing to destroy them.

As Buck discovers, the cost of justice is high. What will be the price for love?
