Mark Skirving's first school report aged 5 years and 4 months -
Mark has great potential and produces some excellent work, especially in creative writing. An outstanding boy who must be destined to do great things.
Mark Skirving's final school report aged 16 years and 3 months -
This boy is off the rails. He seems more interested in tomfoolery than getting his grades.
"Well, I blame the parents!
Let's hope there's something of both the above to be found in this, my second volume/collection of poetic fumblings, autobiographical bumblings and literary squibs/transgressions/ elbow-lifting. From Black Country lad to Brummagem Grandad, I bring more ales and tales of a lifetime devoted to avoiding hard graft. A celebration of the irregular and off beat and those who naturally gravitate towards such. Once again set in the curious world of working-class Bohemia, this anecdotal blunderbuss is fired straight from the mouth that really did eat all the pies. Enjoy it. You're probably in it!"
