About the Author
Gerald Grant, Jr. is the Branch Director of Financial Planning of AXA Advisors' South Florida Branch. He brought to AXA Advisors over eleven years of banking experience and was previously associated with Citibank, where he held the position of Branch Vice President and Cluster Manager. Prior to Citibank, Gerald was a Branch Manager with Great Western Bank. While at Great Western, he was "Branch Manager of the Year" for two consecutive years. In the past, Gerald was named "Banker of the Year" by the Miami-Dade Urban Bankers Association. His experience and knowledge are now used to focus on providing estate planning*, wealth accumulation and protection strategies, life insurance, retirement planning*, college funding, and other financial services. Gerald is an active member of the South Florida community, serving on the foundation board of directors for Florida International University (FIU) and Florida A & M University (FAMU). He also serves on the advisory board for Florida International University's Honors College. Gerald is a member of the 100 Black Men of South Florida, and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Theta Rho Sigma Chapter. Gerald is a past recipient of the Community Service Award for AXA Advisors' Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Branch. He served on the United Way Resource Management Committee and is a past president of the Florida International University Alumni Association. He is also a past President of (NAIFA) National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Miami-Dade Chapter. In 2005, AXA Advisors honored Gerald by naming him the "Regional Honor Associate" for the company's Southern Division. Gerald holds an A.A. degree from Miami-Dade College and both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration from Florida International University. He also holds FINRA Series 7, 63, 66 and 24 securities registrations and is insurance licensed. Gerald lives in Palmetto Bay with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children, Jasmin and Gerald III.
