Item description from seller

"Bon Ton Roulet" is not a book but a 7-inch, 45 rpm, "single" vinyl record, Bayou Records 45-703, mint vinyl with green labels. States "From Arhoolie LP No. F-1024," produced by Chris Strachwitz. While our SECOND 7-inch, 45 rpm, Cajun "single," IN ENGLISH, "Mathilda" / "I'm Twisted," Lyric Records 1003, mint vinyl with white labels (whether this is a DJ demo we don't know -- not specifically labeled as such) showed up in a separate batch of Cajun 45s. It's from Lake Charles, Louisiana, here reduced from $16. ("Cookie and His Cupcakes" are of course not to be confused with longtime Vegas lounge act Cook E. Jarr and the Krums. Incredibly versatile song stylist and raconteur Cook E. Jarr, for the record, started out as Philadelphia native Anthony Pettine. Louisiana's Cookie and the Cupcakes, on the other hand, were led by Huey Thierry, who originally shared lead vocals and saxophone with Shelton Dunaway. Thierry's band was formed in the early 1950s as "The Boogie Ramblers," issuing their first recording, "Cindy Lou" / "Such As Love" in 1955. By 1956 Thierry had become the lead singer; they recorded their best known song, "Mathilda" in 1958. "Mathilda" reportedly became the unofficial anthem of the "swamp pop" genre.) Pair of Cajun 45 rpm vinyl records combined into a "lot" to consolidate shipping charge, now reduced from $20.
