Can bones go out of place? If your "back's out," where is it? What is the significance of the "popping" sounds that may be heard when certain forms of manipulated treatment are used? These questions and more come under comprehensive scrutiny in "Bones Out of Place? A Pilgrim's Progress on the Osteopath." With more than 44 years of clinical experience and research, author Robert Ho presents an educational and enlightening scientific journey into osteopathy. He discusses the art of manipulation as a therapeutic treatment for certain back disorders, and explains how a medical practice can be enriched by utilizing such diverse disciplines as internal medicine, acupuncture, and psychiatry. The author's style is both educational and conversational as he presents an entertaining treatise of medical methodology, beginning with his passage from boyhood to practicing physician. Filled with personal anecdotes and valuable insights, "Bones Out of Place?" gives readers a better understanding of an esoteric topic.
