Explication Des Epitres De Saint Pierre by Pierre-Joseph Picot De Clorivière is a French exegesis that provides a detailed, verse-by-verse commentary on Saint Peter's Epistles. First issued in the early 19th century, this accessible edition surveys the Epistles’ themes, including the call to holy living, endurance under persecution, charity among Christians, humility, and the duties of church leaders and lay believers. It emphasizes the sufferings and triumphs of Jesus Christ as a model for Christians, the final judgment, and the transformative power of grace through Baptism and the sacraments. Blending moral exhortation with doctrinal reflection, the work explores how faith must translate into steadfast virtue, communal responsibility, and fidelity to the Gospel amid trials. This volume serves as a comprehensive resource for late Catholic exegesis and pastoral instruction, illustrating how Saint Peter’s letters shaped Christian ethics and ecclesial life.
