About the Author

Stephen Book is a top Hollywood acting coach and teacher and a theater director. He is a former long-time faculty member of the Juilliard School and the University of Southern California. He has also taught at Stanford, Brown, UCLA, the Bread Loaf School of English, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, the Circle in the Square Theater School, the Esalen Institute, the International Globe Shakespeare Center (London), Gittes (the state theatre school of Russia) in Moscow, and continues to teach at his own studio in Hollywood. His students have won Oscars, Emmys, Tonys, Obies, and Grammys.
