Volume with rubbing and wear to corners with boards exposed, small pull to head of spine, vertical cracking to leather finish of spine, ffep and title page with large closed tears, occasional soil and browning to text, foxing to eps. The Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge (SPCK) is the oldest Anglican mission organisation. It was founded in 1698 by Thomas Bray (an Anglican priest), and a small group of friends.
