Beautifully bound pocket sized bible unfortunately remains in fair condition. Full brown velvet over boards lined in brass with working engraved clasp, reading D. G. Fox, and emblem set into front cover with Common Prayer engraved in script. Gilt dentelles surround floral silk flyleaf á vis to a velvet reverse of board with matching silk square set in the middle. Full gilt text block. Upper board is fully detached and rear loosened, cracked at crown. Velvet is a bit dirtied, spine ends with small split in fabric. Very minor scratching present around text block. Interior remains unmarked. A very lovely example of rebound 19th century books.
