Two volumes in elaborate gilt decorated full leather binding, gilt titles, and gilt tooled decorated compartments and to both boards, raised bands, contained within a lined case, gilt page edges. Rubbed or eaten through the leather of the Proper Lessons volume to the front joint and part of the front board - see photos. Both volumes with a 'illuminated' title page and a letterpress title page.

Unpaginated. 16mo.

Provenance: dedication to Lucy Courtney to the front of both Volumes.

Approximately 3 ¼ inches (9.5cm) tall.

Spine ? fair good condition ? gilt titles, 4 gently raised bands with blind tooled detail, gilt tooling to the compartments, rubbed through the leather to the front joint of the Lessons volume.

Boards ? poor to good condition ? full leather boards with gilt tooled detail, rubbed through the leather to the front board of the Lessons volume.
Book shaped case ? fair to good condition ? contained within a paper lined case, the small leather clasp is detached on one side.
