Black leather with gilt spine lettering. Four raised bands on the spine. The boards are stained and rubbed. Scuffed on the board edges, the spine, and along the joints. A gift inscription along with a psalm quotation, dated 1858, is written on the front free endpaper. Some pages have spots of foxing. In a square, tight binding with hinges intact.
